Mahatma Gandhi was an extraordinary fundraiser. Gandhi never left any public gathering without raising some money for one of his projects. He asked everyone to donate some amount, any amount. He said that it wasn't the amount but the act of giving itself that was important. |

Mahatma Gandhi believed that the only evidence that one accepts an idea is that he buys a piece of it. He urged women to part with some of the jewelry that they were wearing and he asked the men to donate their shirt-buttons, cuff links, pens or anything that they possessed which was not a basic need. Gandhi would then auction every item, including the gifts or souvenirs that he himself had received. |
"I claim to be a fairly accurate student of human nature and vivisector of my own failings. I have discovered that man is superior to the system he propounds."
- Mahatma Gandhi
"I have learnt through bitter experience the supreme lesson to conserve my anger, and as heat conserved is transmuted into energy, even so our anger controlled can be transmuted into a power which can move the world."
- Mahatma Gandhi
"I have always had a love for the poor all my life and in abundance. I could cite illustration after illustration from my past life that it was something innate in me. I ahve never felt that there was any difference between the poor and me. I have always felt towards them as my kith and kin."
- Mahatma Gandhi

Is it possible to have a Keynote by Mahatma Gandhi? Although Gandhi was assassinated half a century ago, it is possible to bring his spirit back. Shall Gandhi Sinha is a leading expert on the Life and Works of Mahatma Gandhi, and he also does an Extraordinary Impersonation of Gandhi. He appears dressed exactly like Mahatma Gandhi - with bald-head, steel-frame glasses, home-spun loin clothes, tire-slippers and a bamboo walking stick. Throughout the presentation he stays in Gandhi's character and describes events specifically relevant to the audience and the occasion. Using his personal library that contains over 50,000 pages of collected works of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Sinha draws all his supporting materials from Gandhi's actual life and leaves his audience inspired - feeling good about themselves and their work and also with a zest for new challenges. Shall Sinha is the author of 4 books including, "Words of Wisdom from Mahatma Gandhi". |
